i bought the blair wiggins rod, at bass pro shop in fort myers fl, 2 times used it and broke about 4″ from the end.
took it back to bps, they replaced it no problem, this one broke 1 st time out same place, took it back , got my money back!
i must say out of all my rods and reels, this one felt better than any i ever used, i loved the feel of it.
mine was 8’6″ mh casting, i put a penn sargus low profile on it, cast a mile,
i talked to a dicks sporting goods employee about my problem and he admitted that they have had problems with the blair wiggins models, hope you get it fixed

I HAVE SEVERAL OF THE VICTORY REELS IN BAITCASTING AND SPINNING…I LOVE THEM. JUST CURIOUS…MOST OF THE BAITCASTER HAVE CRACKED AT THE PLASTIC MOUNTING POINT ON THE FRONT OF THE YELLOW PART…WHERE IT MOUNTS TO THE SIDE OF THE REEL…CAN YOU GET THIS PART? THE YELLOW NOSE?

The exclusive WM S-Curve technology has made these rods stronger than any rod I ve ever used but they re still sensitive and light..After the blanks were created I asked the designers at WM to bring me a rod that would not spook fish in clear skinny water and they brought me what we re calling Flats Blue. ….One Response to Wright McGill Blair Wiggins Signature Series Fishing Rods……….

Carroll, I do not know any great solutions for this problem. One thing you can try is to wrap the front with an athletic tape.

This is a spinning rod so I would suggest the Sabalos spinning reels. I was out of the office for a while I am sorry for that late response.
